Sue Ann Rainey - Painter - Photographer – Designer

Sue Ann Rainey is a lifelong artist from Carversville, Pennsylvania, now living on a

farm in Tinicum, Pa. She studied graphic design and photography at Tyler School of

Art and continuously creates art in one form or another.

She searches Bucks and Hunterdon Counties and beyond finding historic buildings,

farms, and landscapes and captures them in photography and plein air watercolors.

She enjoys documenting the local Delaware Valley area because of its ever-changing

environs and ventures out to important events to capture them in photos.

Sue Ann delves into many forms of art including photography, painting, drawing and

sculpture. She loves rustic & disappearing barns in Bucks and Hunterdon counties

and will photograph and plein air paint them to capture their weathered skins in

different seasons and light.

Sue Ann exhibits her art in many group and juried art exhibitions in the region and

has been juried into the Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition numerous times and

into Ellarslie several times. She won the Best Photography award at the Arts and

Cultural Council of Bucks County and First place award in Photography at the

Tinicum Arts Festival. She recently had a solo exhibition of her watercolors and

photographs, entitled “Double Take,” at the Stover’s Mill Art Gallery in July 2023.

She has an online gallery with the Upstairs Gallery and posts her art, cooking, and

adventures on Instagram.
